Apple’s first foldable iPhone is widely expected to debut at the company’s September 9, 2026 event alongside the iPhone 18 Pro models, driving trader focus on its announced starting price. Consistent supply-chain reports and analyst estimates from sources like Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman and TrendForce point to a book-style design with a roughly 5.5-inch cover screen unfolding to about 7.8 inches, premium materials, an A20 Pro chip, and a launch price north of $2,000—typically in the $2,000–$2,500 range—to reflect the novel hinge, crease-minimizing display, and higher bill of materials versus rivals like Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold series. iOS 27 beta code referencing fold states adds technical confirmation of readiness. Limited early production volumes could influence initial availability, but the September timing remains the core catalyst for any price revelation.
