This market will resolve according to the total number of valid votes cast in the 2026 midterm election for Senator from Florida. If the reported value falls exactly between two brackets, then this market will resolve to the higher range bracket. If the results of the specified election are not definitively known by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to the lowest range bracket. All votes certified for candidates or non-candidate options in the specified election are included. Invalidated or blank votes are not included. In ranked-choice or preferential systems, the first-round vote total will be used. The primary resolution source for this market will be the official results of the 2026 midterm election for Senator from Florida, as published by the state electoral authority responsible for certifying the results of the election; however, an overwhelming consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The tightening Florida Senate contest between Republican incumbent Ashley Moody and Democrat Angie Nixon, with recent polls showing Moody leads of 3-7 points or virtual ties among likely voters, is anchoring trader expectations for turnout in the 7.5M-8.25M range. Republican registration advantages of roughly 1.5 million voters coexist with challenges mobilizing Hispanic and no-party-affiliation blocs, while Democratic efforts target base enthusiasm and independents. Midterm benchmarks from 2022 (around 7.8 million ballots) and 2018 provide context, as do patterns from the August primary where Republicans cast a disproportionate share despite lower overall participation. Early and mail voting trends, get-out-the-vote intensity through early November, and any last-minute shifts in independent engagement remain key variables that could separate outcomes within the current probability distribution.
