DeVonta Smith enters the 2026 NFL season as Philadelphia's clear lead wide receiver following A.J. Brown's offseason trade, positioning the 27-year-old for increased targets in an Eagles offense under new coordinator Sean Mannion. Smith dealt with a hamstring injury during training camp that sidelined him for all preseason action, though he returned to full practice by late August and is expected to start Week 1 against Washington. His recent production includes four receiving touchdowns across 17 games in 2025 after posting eight in 13 games the prior year. Additional weapons such as rookie Makai Lemon, Dontayvion Wicks, and Hollywood Brown could spread targets, while situational factors like red-zone usage, quarterback Jalen Hurts' efficiency, and schedule strength will shape his touchdown total over the 17-game slate.
