Trader consensus prices Emiliano Grillo, Patrick Fishburn, Lucas Glover, Lee Hodges, Beau Hossler, Takumi Kanaya, Rafael Campos, and Tom Hoge tightly around 45-46% implied probabilities for the Valero Texas Open winner at TPC San Antonio's challenging Oaks Course, signaling a wide-open field with no dominant favorite ahead of the Masters. This bunching stems from recent field finalization after Monday qualifiers on March 30, bolstering depth among mid-tier ball-strikers excelling in strokes gained: approach and scrambling—critical amid forecast winds and penal rough on the 7,452-yard par-72 layout. Established stars like Tommy Fleetwood (4%) and Ludvig Aberg (3.5%) lag due to lighter recent starts or tune-up focus, while top contenders leverage solid course history and form from Houston Open and Valspar, heightening upset potential across the 132-player roster vying for top finishes and the final Masters invitations.
