This market will resolve to "Yes" if the seed number of the 2026 Men's Basketball NCAA Tournament champion equals the listed number. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". If the 2026 Men’s Basketball NCAA Tournament is cancelled, postponed after April 30, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no champion declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NCAA; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. With UConn and Purdue—the East and Midwest No. 1 seeds—advancing to the Final Four alongside Alabama (No. 4 West) and NC State (No. 11 South), trader consensus heavily favors a 1-seed national champion at 62.5% implied probability, driven by the Huskies' blowout 77-52 Elite Eight rout of Illinois and the Boilermakers' 72-66 grind over Tennessee. Historical trends support this, as top seeds have claimed 10 of the last 15 titles amid Final Four matchups. NC State's Cinderella upset of top overall seed Duke elevates lower seeds like 4 (4.3%) and boosts residual pricing for recent contenders such as 3-seeds (24.5%) and 2-seeds (23.0%), though no such seeds remain. Semifinals on Saturday pit UConn vs. Alabama and Purdue vs. NC State, with defending champs' form and size edges shaping sentiment.
