No. 2 seed UConn punched its ticket to the 2026 NCAA Men's Tournament National Championship with a 71-62 Final Four win over No. 3 Illinois on April 4 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, overcoming a late rally behind strong defense and key contributions from Tarris Reed. The Huskies, seeking a third title game appearance in four years, advanced via gritty Elite Eight triumph over No. 1 Duke (73-72 buzzer-beater). They await the winner of No. 1 Michigan vs. No. 1 Arizona in the second semifinal, where Michigan's blowout path (avg. 24-pt margins) faces Arizona's balanced attack (led by Koa Peat). Championship tips off April 6; no major injury reports alter rosters. Trader consensus reflects UConn's tournament resilience (17-3 under Hurley) against the top seeds' dominance.
