Elite 2025 recruiting classes and aggressive transfer portal moves have fueled trader consensus around Arizona, Michigan, and Duke as co-favorites for the 2026 NCAA Tournament, with their probabilities bunched under 20% amid widespread parity among power programs. Arizona's top-tier haul under Tommy Lloyd, Michigan's portal dominance via new coach Dusty May including guards like Tre Johnson, and Duke's perennial pipeline under Jon Scheyer highlight the arms race for five-star talent driving this tightness. Returning production from recent deep runs, coaching stability, and uncertain non-conference schedules add volatility, as historical March upsets remind traders that no early lead guarantees a title in college basketball's chaotic bracket.
