Oklahoma City Thunder hold a commanding two-game lead over the San Antonio Spurs atop Western Conference standings at 58-16 versus 56-18, with recent victories like Thursday's 131-113 rout of the Chicago Bulls maintaining their edge despite Spurs owning the season-series tiebreaker. Thunder's elite defense and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's MVP-caliber play have fueled a dominant campaign, bolstered by an earlier 12-game win streak, positioning them as trader consensus for the #1 seed and full playoff home-court advantage. Spurs' blistering eight-game streak, capped by Saturday's 127-95 demolition of Milwaukee, keeps upset potential alive amid eight games remaining, but OKC's overall record and momentum reflect the wisdom of crowds in current implied probabilities.
