Trader consensus reflects a wide-open Texas Children's Houston Open at Memorial Park Golf Course, where mid-tier contenders William Mouw, John Parry, Brice Garnett, Luke Clanton, Matthieu Pavon, Takumi Kanaya, Lee Hodges, Emiliano Grillo, and Jeffrey Kang share near-identical 39-42% implied probabilities after strong opening rounds bunched them atop or near the leaderboard. Pre-tournament withdrawals by favorites like Scottie Scheffler, Aaron Rai (neck injury), and Pierceson Coody (back) thinned the top-heavy field, elevating these players with recent form momentum—Pavon off a Dubai win, Grillo's steady iron play, Clanton's amateur surge, and Kang's T11 positioning. Course demands for precision ball-striking and bentgrass putting keep the race competitive entering Round 3, with no clear favorite amid potential weather shifts and back-nine volatility.
