Belgium's superior FIFA ranking around 9th, deep squad with stars like Kevin De Bruyne, and a dominant 5-2 friendly win over the USMNT on March 28 have solidified trader consensus at 69.5% implied probability for topping Group G, reflecting their historical edge over mid-tier opponents. Egypt holds 20.5% as competitive challengers, propelled by Mohamed Salah's elite form and topping CAF qualifiers unbeaten, positioning them for a potential runner-up spot ahead of weaker foes. New Zealand and Iran trail at 2.5% and 2.4%, hampered by lower rankings, limited global experience, and Iran's ongoing participation uncertainty from mid-March geopolitical tensions and rejected requests to relocate US-hosted matches, further eroding sentiment despite recent backtracking affirmations.
