Michigan enters the 2026 NCAA national championship as the clear trader consensus favorite at 73.5% implied probability after a dominant Final Four win over No. 1 Arizona, capping a tournament run featuring the highest average victory margin since 1985, including a 95-62 Elite Eight rout of Tennessee. The No. 1 overall seed Wolverines, fresh off a Big Ten Tournament title, boast superior depth, defensive efficiency, and momentum from blowout performances. UConn, at 26.8%, advanced via gritty semifinal victory over No. 3 Illinois (71-62) following a buzzer-beater Elite Eight upset of Duke, leveraging their two-time defending champion pedigree and 2-1 all-time edge versus Michigan, though recent close calls highlight vulnerability against Michigan's relentless pace ahead of Monday's title clash.
