The Bank of Israel's Monetary Committee has held its benchmark rate steady at 4 percent through its February and March 2026 decisions following earlier easing, reflecting a cautious stance amid heightened geopolitical uncertainty and rising energy prices tied to regional conflicts. Inflation has remained stable near 1.9 percent in recent readings, comfortably inside the 1-3 percent target band, while growth forecasts were revised downward for 2026. Traders see these factors supporting the current leading consensus around no change at the July 6 meeting, with any further easing viewed as data-dependent and potentially limited to one or two modest steps later in the year. Upcoming May inflation and activity figures could still shift positioning ahead of the summer decision window.
