Hobby Airport (KHOU), the market's resolution source via Weather Underground. Preliminary daily climatological reports confirm the peak fell squarely in this bin amid partly cloudy skies, easterly winds, and elevated humidity from Gulf moisture, which capped daytime heating below initial forecasts near 80°F. This outcome aligns with NOAA model guidance and April climatology, where average highs hover around 79°F under neutral ENSO conditions. Realistic challenges are minimal—only a rare NWS data audit or instrument recalibration uncovering an overlooked peak could alter it, with final verification expected in the monthly summary later this month.
