The Justice Department's May 18 announcement of a roughly $1.8 billion Anti-Weaponization Fund, drawn from the Judgment Fund as part of a settlement resolving President Trump's IRS litigation, immediately triggered bipartisan congressional resistance and multiple legal challenges. Senate Republicans stalled related appropriations measures over oversight and eligibility concerns, while U.S. Capitol Police officers filed suit in federal court seeking an injunction, citing constitutional issues and heightened risks from potential payouts. These developments have centered trader focus on near-term court rulings or legislative restrictions as the main avenues for blocking disbursements, with resolution likely hinging on proceedings through June. Upcoming hearings and any administration responses to the suits could further shift positioning before the market's specified dates.

This market will resolve to “Yes” if any US court legally blocks the payment of funds from The Anti-Weaponization Fund by the specified date, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”.
A qualifying block must be a general block on the payment of funds from The Anti-Weaponization Fund, including broader blocks on the implementation of the fund as a whole. Blocks limited to specific individuals or instances of payments will not qualify.
Any official court action that temporarily or permanently creates a qualifying block (e.g., a temporary restraining order, preliminary injunction, stay, or substantially similar order) will count. Filings, hearings, or statements without an operative order will not qualify.
The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from relevant courts, however a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.
