This market will resolve to "Yes" if North Korea (DPRK) launches a missile between market creation and the specified date ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". Only launches of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and anti-ship missiles will qualify toward a “Yes” resolution. Launches of other systems such as SAMs, MLRS/rocket artillery, torpedoes, etc., will not qualify toward a "Yes" resolution. The market resolution will be based on publicly available information from reliable sources such as official government statements, reports from international monitoring bodies like the United Nations, or reports from reputable international media.North Korea's recent surge in missile activity, including multiple short-range ballistic missile launches toward the East Sea on April 7-8 from the Wonsan area and cruise plus anti-ship missile tests from a new Choe Hyon-class destroyer over the April 12-14 weekend—supervised by Kim Jong Un—has elevated trader consensus to 58.5% for at least one more test by April 30. These provocations reaffirm Pyongyang's escalation signals amid declarations of South Korea as its principal enemy, ongoing ICBM engine development announced in late March, and no diplomatic de-escalation from Seoul, Washington, or Tokyo. Historical patterns of frequent tests, often timed to political anniversaries or tensions, underpin the slight edge for "Yes," though a lull remains possible absent new triggers like joint military drills.
