Trader consensus heavily favors 2.4 million to 2.6 million TSA checkpoint passengers on March 18, reflecting a sustained spring break travel surge that has pushed daily screenings above 2.5 million in recent days, including 2.58 million on March 17—the highest since early January. Supporting this, March 15 logged 2.51 million and March 16 hit 2.55 million, up from sub-2.3 million averages earlier in the month amid post-winter recovery and favorable weather in key U.S. regions. Lower bins like 2.2 million-2.4 million capture downside risk from potential weather disruptions or economic softening, while upside outcomes remain slim given historical spring peaks rarely exceeding 2.8 million mid-week. Upcoming Easter timing could further elevate volumes.
