Oklahoma City Thunder's commanding 61-16 record and two-game lead over the San Antonio Spurs (59-18) with five regular-season games left underpin the 87.5% trader consensus for OKC claiming the Western Conference #1 seed, bolstered by their superior conference record for tiebreaker advantage. The Thunder's dominant 139-96 rout of the Lakers on April 3 maintained momentum amid minor injury concerns like Alex Caruso's illness, while Shai Gilgeous-Alexander continues leading the NBA in scoring. Spurs, fresh off a win at the Clippers, face a tougher path starting with tonight's road game at Denver. Realistic challenges include OKC dropping three or more games on their late schedule featuring road tilts at Lakers and others, coupled with Spurs sweeping their remaining slate.
