Oklahoma City Thunder hold a commanding two-game lead over the San Antonio Spurs atop Western Conference standings at 60-16 versus 58-18 with six games remaining, fueling trader consensus at 75.8% implied probability for the No. 1 playoff seed. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's MVP-caliber play, including 47 points in a recent overtime win over Detroit, combined with Chet Holmgren's defensive impact, has kept OKC unbeaten in 16 of their last 17 despite a minor recent stumble. Spurs, riding a nine-game win streak capped by Victor Wembanyama's dominant 41-point, 16-rebound outing against Golden State on April 1, own the 4-1 head-to-head edge but trail in the loss column, positioning them as competitive challengers at 13.1% amid their NBA-best 25-2 mark since February. Remaining schedules feature winnable matchups for both, with OKC's home-heavy slate and tiebreaker scenarios bolstering their edge.
