Inter Milan commands a commanding seven-point lead atop the Serie A table after 31 matchdays with 72 points to Napoli's 65, fueling trader consensus at 91% implied probability for the Scudetto as only seven fixtures remain. Their dominance stems from league-best expected goals metrics (2.01 created, 0.98 conceded per game), exemplified by a recent 5-2 thrashing of Roma that extended the gap despite occasional wobbles like draws earlier in the campaign. Napoli's four-game winning streak keeps faint hopes alive at 8.9%, but they must win out while Inter falters in tests like the upcoming clash at surging Como under Cesc Fàbregas. Catastrophic injuries, suspensions, or a prolonged Nerazzurri slump could reopen the title race, though historical patterns favor the leaders' superior squad depth and form.
