Robert Strombachs enters the ITF M25 Brussels clay-court match as the clear favorite based on his ATP ranking near 455 and greater professional experience compared to the lower-ranked Alessio Basile (around 1330). The Latvian has shown consistent activity in recent challenger and ITF events through early 2026, while the 21-year-old Belgian, primarily a college player, has limited recent pro results. No prior head-to-head exists. Home-country support for Basile and the clay surface could provide minor edges in a first-round context, though Strombachs’ superior depth and match fitness remain the dominant factors shaping trader consensus on implied probabilities.
