This market will resolve according to the person who is appointed as the next permanent manager of Chelsea F.C.. If no permanent manager is appointed by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, the market will resolve to "Other." Appointments of 'interim,' 'caretaker,' or other non-permanent managers will not impact this market's resolution. An announcement of a new permanent manager's appointment before this market's close date will immediately resolve this market to the corresponding option, regardless of when the announced appointment goes into effect. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from Chelsea F.C.; however, a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.Trader consensus on Polymarket heavily favors Xabi Alonso at 58.5% implied probability to become Chelsea's next head coach, propelled by reports over the past 48 hours of encouraging initial talks with the club and his availability following a January departure from Real Madrid. Chelsea's ownership seeks a possession-oriented project akin to Alonso's high-pressing style, amid a search triggered by Liam Rosenior's recent sacking after just 107 days—itself following Enzo Maresca's turbulent January exit due to board tensions. Contenders like Andoni Iraola (23.5%), thriving at Bournemouth with dynamic attacking play, and Oliver Glasner (22.8%), credited for Crystal Palace's resurgence, reflect trader interest in proven Premier League performers, while Kjetil Knutsen and Diego Simeone linger as stylistic alternatives in this open race for the Stamford Bridge role ahead of the 2026/27 season.
