This market will resolve according to the person who is appointed as the next permanent manager of Chelsea F.C.. If no permanent manager is appointed by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, the market will resolve to "Other." Appointments of 'interim,' 'caretaker,' or other non-permanent managers will not impact this market's resolution. An announcement of a new permanent manager's appointment before this market's close date will immediately resolve this market to the corresponding option, regardless of when the announced appointment goes into effect. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from Chelsea F.C.; however, a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.Chelsea sacked head coach Liam Rosenior on April 22 after just 106 days and five straight Premier League defeats without scoring, amid dressing room unrest and fan pressure following a 3-0 loss at Brighton. U21 coach Calum McFarlane steps in as interim until season's end, with no permanent successor named, fueling trader uncertainty. Polymarket's trader consensus reflects this vacuum, bunching implied probabilities tightly around 48-49% for Oliver Glasner, Xabi Alonso, Fabian Hurzeler, Gareth Southgate, and Ruben Amorim, as reports link diverse candidates like Marco Silva, Edin Terzic, and Cesc Fabregas without advanced talks or a confirmed shortlist. Chelsea's history of rapid turnover under BlueCo ownership keeps the field competitive, splitting bets across available Premier League-proven and emerging managers.
