Trader consensus heavily favors Petr Yan (68.5%) as Merab Dvalishvili's next opponent following their split bouts—Dvalishvili's 2023 unanimous decision win and Yan's title-capturing victory at UFC 323 in December 2025—fueled by Dvalishvili's repeated statements in March prioritizing a trilogy rematch over interim fights. Umar Nurmagomedov trails at 23.9% after Dvalishvili's successful 2025 title defense against him, positioning him as a logical contender. Recent buzz includes a March 12 report of trilogy confirmation pending Dana White announcement, though Dvalishvili's broken nose from a training accident 24 hours ago delays his April 18 wrestling bout with Henry Cejudo and UFC return, without shifting fighter preferences. Rob Font, Sean O'Malley, and Alexander Volkanovski hover around 20% amid stylistic matchup appeal and ranking proximity in bantamweight contention.
