Trader consensus on Polymarket prices an 84.5% implied probability for TSA-screened passengers below 2.4 million on March 31, 2026, driven by subdued air travel demand amid a partial government shutdown that spurred TSA staffing shortages and extended security lines earlier in late March. Recent daily throughputs reflect this caution, with March 30 at 2.53 million, March 29 at 2.76 million, but weekdays like March 25 (2.38 million) and March 24 (2.19 million) dipping under the threshold, alongside year-over-year declines near 9%. Easing lines after backpay issuance to officers provides modest support for higher buckets like 2.6M-2.8M (48.4%), though pre-Easter Thursday positioning favors conservatism; official TSA data expected April 1 morning.
