Trader consensus on Polymarket has fully priced in fewer than 2.6 million TSA passengers screened on March 17, with implied probabilities at 100% for the <2.6M bin, driven by the official TSA report confirming 2,319,994 travelers—a figure 12% below recent Sunday averages and well under spring break peaks exceeding 2.9 million mid-week. This reflects seasonal Sunday dips in air travel demand, compounded by moderating consumer spending amid persistent inflation and high fuel costs. Supporting positioning are year-over-year comparisons showing only modest 5% growth in throughput, signaling economic caution. Realistic challenges include rare TSA data revisions or audit adjustments, though authoritative releases rarely shift materially post-publication.
