In the Tallahassee Tennis Challenger on green clay, qualifier Tyler Zink (ATP 315) meets Mitchell Krueger (ATP 255) in the round of 16 after both grinded through round-of-32 matches. Zink, building momentum with four straight victories including a comeback 4-6 7-6(6) 6-1 over alternate Saba Purtseladze, advanced via qualifiers defeating Joshua Sheehy 6-2 6-4 and Thomas Faurel 6-0 6-3. Krueger rallied from a set down to beat Daniel Dutra da Silva 2-6 6-3 6-4 in his opener. Krueger leads their head-to-head 1-0 from a hard-court Challenger last September, marking their first clay encounter; no injury concerns reported, with outdoor conditions potentially favoring baseline grinders.
