Mercedes' George Russell and Kimi Antonelli dominate the 2026 F1 driver standings after three Grands Prix, with Antonelli leading at 72 points following back-to-back wins in China and Japan, while Russell sits second on 63 after his Australia victory. Trader consensus prices Russell at 43.5% implied probability to claim the title, edging Antonelli's 34.8% due to the Briton's experience and consistency amid intra-team rivalry, as team principal Toto Wolff encourages them to race freely. Antonelli's Japanese GP triumph—recovering from a poor start via safety car timing and superior pace—propelled him past Russell, who endured setup errors and pit strategy woes finishing fourth. Rivals like Leclerc (5.8%) trail as Ferrari and others lag Mercedes' W17 superiority in the new regulations era, though long-term upgrades and reliability could shift dynamics.
