Mercedes' George Russell and Kimi Antonelli dominate trader consensus for the 2026 F1 Drivers' Championship, priced at 43.5% and 35.3% implied probabilities, reflecting their stranglehold on early-season results amid new power unit regulations favoring the team's superior straight-line speed and race pace. Antonelli seized the lead with 72 points after a commanding Japanese Grand Prix victory from pole on March 29—his second win in a row following China—edging Russell's consistent podiums including the Australian GP opener. With Bahrain and Saudi races cancelled, Mercedes' 1-2 in Australia and flawless top-two finishes through three events have distanced Ferrari's Leclerc (49 points) and Hamilton (41 points), while Red Bull and McLaren struggle for podium contention, underscoring the intra-team battle shaping market sentiment.
