This market will resolve to "Yes" if Pep Guardiola permanently ceases to be the manager of Manchester City before December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". Temporary absences (including but not limited: to medical leave, compassionate leave, suspension, or touchline bans) will not be considered. An announcement of Pep Guardiola’s resignation/firing before this market's end date will immediately resolve this market to "Yes", regardless of when the announced resignation/firing goes into effect. This market's primary resolution source will be official information from Manchester City and/or Pep Guardiola. However, a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.Manchester City's recent Champions League quarterfinal exit to Real Madrid—marked by Bernardo Silva's first-half red card and a 2-1 aggregate defeat—has intensified speculation about Pep Guardiola's future, pushing Yes odds to a razor-thin 51% trader consensus for his departure by year's end despite a contract through 2027. Guardiola's ambiguous post-match hints, like "I will miss these nights" amid a testing 2025-26 campaign where City sit second in Premier League standings after consecutive title misses, signal potential burnout after a decade at the Etihad. Rumors of key exits (Rodri, Silva) and successors like Enzo Maresca or Vincent Kompany add pressure, though his vows of improvement next season and aversion to breaking contracts maintain balance. A title charge or extension talks could swing odds toward No; deeper slump might solidify Yes.
