Mohamed Salah's confirmed exit from Liverpool at the end of the 2025-26 season has fueled speculation, with the Saudi Pro League leading trader consensus at 72% implied probability due to record tax-free offers exceeding €100 million annually from clubs like Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal, aligning with the league's aggressive recruitment of aging stars. MLS follows at 21% amid reports of strong interest from San Diego FC, including potential ownership incentives and appeal around the 2026 World Cup, while the Egyptian Premier League sits at 24.5% on sentimental and family factors. Emerging European options, including Fenerbahce in the Süper Lig at 10.3% and Roma in Serie A at 5.5%, reflect some desire to extend high-level play but face significant financial gaps compared to Gulf and U.S. packages. Recent farewell tributes and ongoing talks underscore a fast-moving summer window where wealth and lifestyle weigh heavily against competitive considerations.
