In the first-round clash at the ATP Challenger Busan Open on outdoor hard courts, qualifier Pavel Kotov (ATP 262, career high No. 50) holds a stylistic and experience edge over wildcard Yi Zhou (No. 220), a rising 21-year-old Chinese talent. Kotov leads their head-to-head 1-0 from a 2024 China Open win on hard and enters with momentum from qualifying victories plus recent Wuning Challenger results, including defeats of Keegan Smith and Ilia Simakin. Zhou impressed in early-2026 team events and Brisbane but has back injury history, notably retiring in Shanghai 2024. Short travel from Asia favors both, though Kotov's hard-court consistency shapes trader consensus amid Zhou's upset potential.
