Fred Hoiberg's implied 76% probability as the trader consensus frontrunner for Naismith Men's College Coach of the Year stems from Nebraska's historic 2025-26 turnaround, posting a school-record 28-7 mark (15-5 Big Ten, No. 15 AP), a first-ever Sweet Sixteen NCAA Tournament run, and earning him Big Ten Coach of the Year honors from peers. Finalists were announced six days ago alongside Tommy Lloyd (Arizona's Big 12 Coach of the Year after a strong regular season), Jon Scheyer, and Dusty May, whose Michigan squad reached the Final Four in his second year despite the market's muted response at 3.8%. Nebraska's Sweet Sixteen exit yesterday caps a program-defining campaign, solidifying Hoiberg's edge in the wisdom-of-crowds pricing, though May's deep tournament push leaves upset potential if Michigan advances further.

In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by NCAA rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the coach whose listed last name comes first alphabetically.
If the 2026 NCAA Men’s Basketball season is cancelled, postponed after April 30, 2026 ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”.
The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NCAA; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
