Trader consensus heavily favors BTS's "Arirang" first-week album sales falling under 3 million units (95.7% implied probability on Polymarket), primarily due to the group's extended military enlistment hiatus, which curtails traditional K-pop promotional firepower like fan events, variety show appearances, and global stadium tours that fueled past megahits like "Map of the Soul: 7" (over 4 million first week). Recent Hanteo pre-order trackers show modest uptake compared to BTS's historic 5-7 million benchmarks, reflecting tempered ARMY mobilization amid solo projects dominating the cycle. Resolution hinges on Circle Chart's opening week data, with upsets possible only via viral TikTok synergy or surprise physical bundle incentives, though traders price these at under 4% combined odds.
