Mumbai Indians lead trader consensus at 28% implied probability after their explosive six-wicket chase of 221 against Kolkata Knight Riders on March 29—their highest successful pursuit in IPL history and first opening win in 14 years—fueled by Ryan Rickelton's 81 and Rohit Sharma's 78, signaling batting depth from strategic pre-auction trades like Shardul Thakur (3-39). Defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru sit second at 16% following a dominant opener over Sunrisers Hyderabad, bolstered by Virat Kohli, Josh Hazlewood, and Phil Salt, though Hazlewood's late arrival looms. Punjab Kings (12.5%) leverage a settled core around Shreyas Iyer and batting firepower from 2025 runners-up form, while Chennai Super Kings (9.5%) benefit from Sanju Samson trade and retainers like Ruturaj Gaikwad but face Nathan Ellis' season-ending injury, replaced by Spencer Johnson. Early points table has RCB atop via superior NRR, but MI's momentum and five-title pedigree drive the wide-open futures market.
