This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 National League Cy Young Award. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 MLB season is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Major League Baseball; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Cristopher Sanchez holds a slim edge over Paul Skenes in trader consensus for the 2026 NL Cy Young at 25.5% implied probability to 24.0%, driven by their elite 2024 breakouts—Sanchez logging 171.2 innings with a 3.32 ERA and strong groundball tendencies for the Phillies, while Skenes dazzled in 133 frames at 1.96 ERA with triple-digit heat for the Pirates—yet the razor-thin gap reflects projection risks like innings limits and durability for both young lefty and righty aces. Brewers arms Freddy Peralta (10.5%) and top prospect Jacob Misiorowski (10.0%) keep the race competitive via swing-and-miss stuff and velocity, amid a crowded field featuring Dodgers' Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Shohei Ohtani's dual-threat return, Zack Wheeler's veteran consistency, and recovering talents like Brandon Woodruff and Spencer Strider. With offseason quiet and no major trades or injuries in the past week, the NL's depth of high-upside starters sustains this tight, volatile dynamic.
