With the 2025 NCAA men's basketball tournament still five months away, early trader sentiment in this futures market hinges on preseason AP poll rankings released October 14, placing Duke atop at No. 1 buoyed by freshman phenom Cooper Flagg and a loaded backcourt featuring Kon Knueppel and Isaiah Evans, while Kansas (No. 2) benefits from All-American Hunter Dickinson's return and depth additions via transfer portal. Houston (No. 3) and Auburn (No. 4) draw support from elite defenses and international recruits, but Big 12 and SEC slate strength adds risk of upsets. Recent exhibition tune-ups show no major injuries, though non-conference schedules like the Maui Invitational and Champions Classic will test early momentum before conference play shapes bracket projections.
