The Chicago White Sox enter this AL Central matchup at 29-27, sitting second in the division with a solid 17-11 home record, while the Detroit Tigers lag at 22-35 and last in the standings. Chicago has won the opening game of the three-game series in extra innings and enters on a three-game winning streak. Detroit has been hampered by significant injuries, including ace Tarik Skubal on the injured list with an elbow issue, along with other roster depth limitations that have contributed to a recent freefall. The White Sox benefit from home-field advantage and stronger recent form, though both clubs face extensive injury lists that could affect pitching matchups and lineup stability in the series.
