Trader consensus favors Green Party candidate Zoë Garbett at 49.5% implied probability for the Hackney mayoral election on May 7, reflecting a recent JL Partners MRP poll showing Greens at 40% versus Labour's 33% amid council vote projections of no majority and Greens taking the most seats. Incumbent Labour Mayor Caroline Woodley, elected in a 2023 by-election as the borough's first woman mayor, trails at 38% as historical Labour dominance faces a Green surge driven by campaigns on housing, council responsiveness, and anti-austerity pledges. Reform UK's Vahid Almasi, Conservative Tareke Gregg, and Liberal Democrat Eva Steinhardt hold low single-digit support, with final turnout and momentum key in this closely contested first-past-the-post race.
