Trader consensus prices under 3 million TSA checkpoint passengers on April 3 at a 62% implied probability, driven by consistently sub-3M daily screenings in late March despite spring break hype and record travel forecasts. Official TSA data through March 30 shows volumes peaking at 2.87 million on March 22, with Friday March 27 at 2.74 million, Sunday March 29 at 2.76 million, and Monday March 30 at 2.53 million—all depressed roughly 9% year-over-year amid a DHS shutdown fueling 10%+ TSA callout rates and hours-long lines that deterred flyers. Though agent paychecks were promised March 29 to stabilize operations, traders doubt a Good Friday surge ahead of Easter April 5 will breach 3M, assigning just 25% to the 3.0-3.2M bin amid lingering caution.
