Mercedes' Kimi Antonelli dominated FP3 with a 1:29.362 benchmark lap and clinched pole in qualifying at 1:28.778, ahead of teammate George Russell, underscoring their single-lap edge at Suzuka, yet McLaren's Oscar Piastri posted the FP2 fastest at 1:30.133 and Ferrari remained competitive within a second. Midfield constructors like TGR Haas, Aston Martin, Racing Bulls, Audi, Cadillac, Alpine, and Williams flashed strong sector times and long-run pace, fueling trader consensus on parity. Tight probabilities around 48-50% reflect Suzuka's high-speed demands, where race fastest lap hinges on tire strategy, pit stops, clean air, and DNFs rather than pure quali speed, enabling undercuts or late pushes from any top-10 contender.

If the 2026 F1 Japanese Grand Prix is canceled or rescheduled to a date after Apr 5, 2026, this market will resolve to "Other."
This market will resolve in favor of the constructor team whose driver is officially credited with the fastest lap in the Final Classification published by the FIA following the conclusion of the race. The fastest lap must be set during the race itself; times from practice sessions, qualifying, or any other sessions are not considered.
If no driver completes a lap during the race (e.g., due to a red flag ending the race prematurely), this market will resolve to "Other."
The resolution source will be the official Formula 1 website and a consensus of credible sports news reporting.
