Robert MacIntyre commands trader consensus at 54% implied probability after surging to a four-shot lead at 14-under through 36 holes at the Valero Texas Open on TPC San Antonio's challenging Oaks Course, highlighted by an 8-under 64 in round two with four birdies in his final five holes and a par-5 eagle. His recent form, including two top-5 finishes this season like fourth at The Players, sharpens his bid for a third straight lefty winner here following Brian Harman. JT Poston (20.9%) and Kensei Hirata (19.1%) draw support from steady ball-striking and mid-pack positioning at 2-under and 1-under despite the gap, while Ludvig Aberg lurks second at 10-under and Christiaan Bezuidenhout sits T43 at 3-under; round two suspended for darkness, resumes Saturday ahead of moving day.
