Cleveland Browns' 2-4 start and Deshaun Watson's season-ending Achilles tear have intensified trade speculation around tight end David Njoku, whose contract expires after 2026, positioning him as a prime free agent target or pre-deadline flip despite the Nov. 5 trade deadline passing quietly. Trader consensus pins the New England Patriots at 49.6% implied probability and Chicago Bears at 49.5% for Njoku's 2026-27 roster spot, driven by each team's youth movement around rookie QBs Drake Maye and Caleb Williams, glaring needs for seam-stretching tight ends, and favorable projected cap space. Miami Dolphins trail closely at 39.0% amid Tua Tagovailoa's TE-friendly offense, while a pack of AFC contenders from 29-33% underscores the wide-open futures market fueled by league-wide demand for Njoku's after-the-catch dynamism.
