This market will resolve to the manager who wins the 2026 American League Manager of the Year award for the 2026 MLB Season. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the manager whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 MLB season is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Major League Baseball; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. With the 2026 MLB season just two days old, AL standings remain tightly clustered after Opening Day, featuring multiple 2-0 starts by Yankees (Aaron Boone), Tigers (A.J. Hinch), and Angels alongside 1-0 marks for Blue Jays (John Schneider) and others, while pre-season favorites like Astros (Joe Espada, 0-2), Twins (Derek Shelton, 0-1), Royals (Matt Quatraro, 0-1), and Athletics (Mark Kotsay, 0-1) stumble early. This lack of separation, combined with Guardians (Stephen Vogt, 1-1, back-to-back winner), Mariners (Dan Wilson, 1-1), and Rays (Kevin Cash, 0-1) holding steady, fuels trader consensus bunching probabilities near 44% across the crowded field of new hires like Shelton and potential overachievers, underscoring a wide-open race hinging on sustained roster health, bullpen management, and division climbs over 162 games.
