The New York Yankees, atop the AL East standings with MLB-leading offense from Aaron Judge's home run chase and Juan Soto's on-base prowess, face the San Francisco Giants amid a competitive NL West race where Logan Webb anchors the rotation with a sub-3.00 ERA. Recent developments include the Yankees acquiring Jazz Chisholm Jr. at the trade deadline to bolster infield depth, offsetting Giancarlo Stanton's injured list stint, while Giants activated Blake Snell from the IL but lost Jung Hoo Lee for the season to shoulder surgery. Yankees boast superior recent form with 7 wins in last 10, versus Giants' road struggles; Oracle Park's dimensions and clear weather favor pitchers, heightening matchup intrigue for this interleague series opener.
