The Los Angeles Angels carry strong momentum into Game 3 against AL West rival Houston Astros at Daikin Park, leading the opening series 2-0 after a 3-0 shutout on Thursday and 6-2 victory Friday, highlighted by Mike Trout's home runs in both contests and additional blasts from Josh Lowe and Zach Neto. Reid Detmers returns to the rotation for the Angels facing Cristian Javier, whose strong stuff bolsters Houston's home advantage amid early offensive struggles. No major starter injuries reported, though Angels relievers Kirby Yates and Ben Joyce are on the 15-day IL; Astros' Josh Hader sidelined until late April with biceps tendinitis. Historical head-to-head favors Houston, but Angels' early firepower has traders weighing upset potential in this closely contested matchup.
