Detroit Tigers lead trader consensus at 47% implied probability for the 2026 AL Central crown, propelled by Tarik Skubal anchoring the rotation after back-to-back Cy Young contention and key offseason bullpen reinforcements like Kenley Jansen and Kyle Finnegan, plus Gleyber Torres adding lineup punch to a youthful core that squandered a late-2025 divisional lead but enters spring training as overwhelming expert favorite across MLB.com, SI, and FanGraphs projections updated this week. Kansas City Royals follow at 33.5%, energized by Bobby Witt Jr., Maikel Garcia, Jac Caglianone, and Vinnie Pasquantino's scorching World Baseball Classic showings atop a deep rotation, positioning them for 85-win contention. Cleveland Guardians (13%) risk regression post-two straight titles on shoestring payroll, Minnesota Twins (8.5%) face bullpen woes and injury concerns like Byron Buxton, while Chicago White Sox (6.6%) lag in rebuild.
