Barcelona holds a commanding seven-point lead atop the La Liga table with 73 points from 29 matches, boasting a +50 goal difference and an unbeaten run of five straight wins, including a gritty 2-1 comeback victory at 10-man Atlético Madrid on April 4. Real Madrid, trailing in second on 69 points, stumbled with a 2-1 home loss to Mallorca, widening the gap amid their recent mixed form of two draws and three wins. Villarreal and Atlético lag far behind at 58 and 20 points, respectively, with eight games remaining. Trader consensus at 93.5% implied probability for Barcelona underscores their schedule edge and momentum, though a Real Madrid winning streak, Barcelona injuries, or an El Clásico upset could narrow the title race.
