Trader consensus heavily favors Merab Dvalishvili (81.5%) as Petr Yan's next opponent, driven by their 1-1 series—Dvalishvili's 2023 decision win and Yan's dominant unanimous decision title reclamation at UFC 323 in December 2025—fueling trilogy demand for a bantamweight championship defense. Recent developments include Yan's return to full training after January back surgery sidelined him until summer, with both fighters confirming the matchup awaits only a date, targeted for July-August on a numbered card like UFC 331. Sean O'Malley trails at 9.3% amid Yan's public interest in a rematch to avenge a controversial prior loss, while lower probabilities reflect lesser contender buzz from Umar Nurmagomedov and others lacking recent stylistic or rivalry pull.
