Oklahoma City Thunder command 91.4% implied probability for the NBA Western Conference #1 seed after surging to the league's best 16-6 record, powered by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's MVP-caliber 32.5 PPG and the NBA's top defense (102.8 defensive rating), bolstered by Chet Holmgren's rim protection and Jalen Williams' two-way play. A recent five-game win streak, including victories over contenders like the Lakers and Clippers, has widened their 1.5-game lead over Memphis, with traders betting on their depth, home-court dominance (10-1 at Paycom Center), and favorable schedule amid the West's parity. San Antonio Spurs' 10.3% reflects Victor Wembanyama's breakout (27.5 PPG, 11.5 RPG) despite their 9-12 mark, but catching OKC requires an improbable 20+ game hot streak. Realistic challenges include SGA injury recurrence, multi-week slumps, or surges from Denver/Memphis leveraging rest advantages and trade deadline roster boosts.
