Manchester United's commanding trader consensus at 61% implied probability for third place stems from their solid hold on third in the Premier League table after 31 matches, bolstered by a crucial 3-1 home win over Aston Villa on March 15—Casemiro, Cunha, and Sesko scoring in a match that extended United's unbeaten league streak into 2026 with six wins and one draw in their last seven. Liverpool, fifth on 24% odds, lurks as the primary challenger after a 1-1 draw at Tottenham that day via Szoboszlai's strike, supported by better goal difference and a lighter run-in than fourth-placed Villa (16%), whose defeat exposed defensive frailties amid tighter remaining fixtures for Chelsea further back. Arsenal and Manchester City lead comfortably ahead, focusing the race on the final Champions League spot.
