Barcelona holds a four-point lead atop the LaLiga table after 29 matchdays with 73 points, but trader consensus prices Real Madrid at 84% implied probability for second place due to their commanding 11-point cushion over third-placed Villarreal (58 points) and superior +37 goal difference. Los Blancos bolstered this positioning with a gritty 3-2 Madrid derby win over Atletico Madrid last weekend, where Vinicius Junior's brace and Federico Valverde's strike secured three vital points amid a recent D-D-W-W-W form run. Barcelona's five straight victories, including a 4-1 thrashing of Villarreal, reinforce their title favoritism, limiting their own second-place odds to 12%. Villarreal (11%) and Atletico (10.5%) lurk with momentum but face steep climbs, while Betis trails at 44 points. Nine matches remain, with no major injury disruptions reported.

In the event of a tie, this market will resolve to the team officially recognized by La Liga as finishing in second place. If multiple teams are officially awarded second place, the market will resolve to the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If at any point it becomes impossible for the listed club to finish 2nd in the 2025-2026 LaLiga season (e.g. they are mathematically unable to achieve enough points), the market will resolve to "No".
If the 2025-2026 LaLiga season is cancelled, postponed after May 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no 2nd place team declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”.
The primary resolution source will be official information from the LaLiga. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
