Mercedes' commanding 77.5% implied probability in the F1 Constructors' Championship stems from their unparalleled power unit expertise ahead of 2026's radical regulations, which boost engines to nearly 50% of lap time via electric power and sustainable fuels; they supply customer squads McLaren, Williams, and Aston Martin alongside their own factory team, signaling broad industry faith. Ferrari trails at 14% buoyed by in-house power unit prowess, Lewis Hamilton's impending arrival, and supply deals with Haas, while McLaren's 3.1% reflects current chassis momentum but dependency on Mercedes engines. Red Bull's 2.1% lags amid their nascent Red Bull Powertrains-Ford alliance struggles. Recent developments like Kimi Antonelli's Mercedes promotion, Audi's Sauber takeover with Nico Hulkenberg, and Cadillac's approved Andretti entry dilute outsider chances, reinforcing trader consensus on established engine giants.
